Matte lips

While visting my local ULTA store, I discovered this amazing new lip product by NYX called Soft Matte Lip Cream. I was pretty curious about what matte lips might look like, so I bought it and tried it on as soon as I got home. Turns out shine free lips look pretty good! I actually really like it. The texture is just like normal gloss, but it has absolutely no shine. It looks like the color you have on is completely natural! Although, make sure you exfoliate or add lip balm before and after you use it; if you don’t it makes your lips look dry. It also dries them out a little after use too. Anyway, it’s also really inexpesive(around $5.00), so you can afford to be curious and try it!

Until next time…

Fresh

A white eyelet dress, fun florals, and glitzy eye shadow all add up to be one fresh, cool, stylish look! This post is sort of a mish-mash of all of these spring trends in one place. The possibilities are endless!

First of all, I adore the shoes! I have always loved Toms, but these are just gorgeous! Additionally, the purse and eye shadow match the bluish tones in them, while the yellow belt brings out the yellows and crisp feel of the white dress. I always try to add a belt to a plain dresses like this one because they bring out the plain color in a good way, and accentuate the hips and waist.

Although this outfit is a little less bright than the last, it is still very spring. The floral pumps and rose earrings are very fresh, but are just not filled with colors that really pop. However, they are also very girly, which is why I added the jean jacket. It roughs up the look a little bit.

I love this outfit! The hat is so fun, it gives the outfit tons of individuality and style. Although, since the hat is a bit extravagant, I kept the rest of the outfit very sensible with lots of buckles and leather.

As you have seen, when given a white dress the possibilities are endless!

Spring Break Essentials

Since spring break is only 2 days away, I thought I’d give a list of what I think is essential for having a great vacation!
1)The Clarisonic is great for getting all of the salt water off your face after a long day at the beach. 2) Cute floral headbands add a pop of  spring color to any day! 3) The romper is perfect for a day at the beach because it can be a cover up, or with a necklace, become something you can wear to lunch! 4) These colorful bracelets are still great even if they get wet! 5) A backpack is a must for any vacation. It will hold anything, and keep it dry and secure. 6) This fun pink lip gloss is great for touching up when you can’t get to your makeup bag. One coat of lip color makes it look like you’re wearing makeup!7) Sunglasses are a must for anytime of year, but are especially important when you are out in the sun for a long time.(check out my post”Sunglasses” for more info.) 8) The iPod is perfect for relaxing on the beach or the trip to the beach.9) These neon jelly wedges work as beach shoes and a cute pair of sandals. 10) Last but certainly not least is sunscreen! It may not seem like much now, but after a couple hours on the beach or the outlets, you’ll be thankful you brought it! I hope all my readers have a great spring break!

Classic style!

Plaid, stripes, and a bit of attitude make a classic outfit great! Classic is one of my favorite styles for spring, so I thought I would show you a couple of cute ideas. If a classic outfit is put together right, it should look very put together, but not to stuffy. This outfit is a perfect example:

I love this outfit for a couple reasons: 1.The striped dress is super cute and a must for any classic wardrobe. 2. The tote and clip add a girly twist to the outfit, making it look less uptight, as many classic get-ups do. 3. The sandals make it look really summery! This outfit would be great for grabbing lunch with friends or going for some afternoon shopping. Anyways, you know how you always have this choice on a summer rainy day, you could wear your pretty sandals and get them and your feet wet,or you can wear your ugly clunky rain boots? Well, this outfit solves that problem!

The pink boots are perfect for looking cute on a rainy day! The bright color, bow, and heel makes them pretty, but they’re completely water-proof ,so your pedicure stays nice and dry! Also, the bright yellow polo adds a ray of sunshine to a dreary day. Plus, the umbrella and plastic tote make being rain-prof stylish. Pearls add a sophisticated preppy touch, while the bangles keep it fun! A perfect rainy day outfit with a classical vibe!

Finally, a school outfit! Casual and versatile meet preppy style!

This outfit is perfect for the comfort needed at school, but without sacrificing style! The Tom’s flats have the support your feet need to lug books around all day! Also, the outfit isn’t to dressy,or to casual, making it perfect for school!

Until next time!

The Tank Top

One of the cutest members of the closet, the tank top is best seen on sunny warm days, or can also add a pop of color on a winter day, when paired with a sweater of course. This is why I love them. You can wear them any time of year, and I love versatility! They come in any color, pattern, and cut imaginable, and can be girly or even edgy. My favorite place to look for tank tops is second hand stores. There, you get stuff that no one else has and for really cheap. Recently, I found a brand new tank with the tag still on for $10.00, when the origanal tag said $30.00! Here’s an example of an edgy tank top…

Very simple, but still has a very distinct edgy feel. Now maybe an indie one…

I love this outfit! It’s so fun! The tank is great, but the shoes make it even better! See what I mean? Tank tops are so versatile! There must be a billion different ways to wear a tank top! Here’s a list of the stuff in these outfits…

Spring pastels

Want to add a girly fresh look to your outfit? Add pastels! The best season to wear pastels is now, so take advantage of it! One of my favorite things in pastel colors is nail polish! It looks so great on, and flatters any skin tone!

All of these colors are cheap to expensive to in between, so they’re good for any budget! If you want a list of specific colors comment about it and I can give you one.  Anyways, back to pastel colors. Another thing that looks good in pastel shades is a pair of espadrilles! Plus, they are one of springiest looking shoes. Here is an outfit with both the nail polish and espadrilles…

Cute right? The espadrilles add a sort of beachy vibe to an already boho outfit! Perfect for spring. Spring is a very colorful season! Make the most of it by putting away boring and sophisticated colors for winter and bringing out the super crazy patterns and colors! Here’s a list of what’s in the outfit above…
