The Great Outdoors

When you think of plaid and cable knits, you usually think about lumber jacks or possibly the golf course(depends on color). Well think again, because this fall it’s the chic way to look outdoorsy! To master this trend, find cute dress with some plaid print and a cuddly bear hat to keep your ears warm. You can even throw a cable knit sweater to ensure you look great!

Blue

Royal blue is the “it” color this season. Spice up any outfit with a pop of this rich hue and get ready to hear the compliments roll in!

Color pairings: pink and yellow

Some things just look great together! Pink and yellow are some of those things. When paired together, they make fun, girly, and fresh looks!

This look is great for a busy day! The breezy shirt and simple shorts make it easy to look cute, just add a fun necklace! Also, the purse sized makeup makes it easy for touchups wherever your day takes you!

This super girly look is a great example of how yellow and pink can look so sophisticated together! The blush pink and soft yellow compliment each other nicely!

This funky ensamble is really 50’s in a modern way! The retro dress and chunky necklace soften the blow of the crazy shoes! Personally, I think this outfit screams for cat eyes and dark shadow, they just enhance it’s craziness!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and that it inspired you to wear more pink and yellow!

Peter Pan Collars

Collar necklaces. Probably one of the weirdest fashion inventions EVER. They’re the top of a men’s shirt, and a glitzy necklace combined. This, if you think about it, is pretty weird. However, they are surprisingly chic and are actually very wearable. For example, not all collar necklaces have to be part of a shabby chic look like this…

Even though this outfit is cute as can be, sometimes you may want to be a little more daring. Fortunately, a peter pan collar can be good at this too. Observe…

See, this urban look can only be achieved with the companionship of the collar necklace(and the amazing shirt). So, as you have seen, a collar necklace can be a pretty nifty addition to any outfit! As always, I hope you enjoyed this post! See you next time!

Little Black Dress

One of the best investments a fashionista can make is a little black dress! They are an amazing thing! We all have at least one accessory in our closets that we wish hadn’t bought because it matches with NOTHING that we own. Well, a little black dress fixes that problem! Here’s how…

This outfit is perfect for a date or a night at the theatre. You would think that a black dress is boring, but look how interesting it becomes with a few accessories! I like to think of a plain dress like this as a blank canvas, a chance for some of your most awesome jewelry to take the spotlight!

This fun ensemble isn’t as uptight as the last , making it great for dancing or maybe even lunch with friends! The crazy leggings really stand out against the dark color of the dress, letting them take center stage!(The leggings are a great example of how an little black dress lets you showcase some accessories you never wear!)

This sophisticated team of accessories make this dress cocktail party ready! The beautiful emerald and gold jewelry will make you dazzle anyone you meet!

As you have seen, a little black dress is a valuable wardrobe addition! I hope you enjoyed this post and will forgive me for not posting anything in a while, I’ve been away from a computer for about two weeks! Anyway, I hope all my readers are having a great summer!

Fresh

A white eyelet dress, fun florals, and glitzy eye shadow all add up to be one fresh, cool, stylish look! This post is sort of a mish-mash of all of these spring trends in one place. The possibilities are endless!

First of all, I adore the shoes! I have always loved Toms, but these are just gorgeous! Additionally, the purse and eye shadow match the bluish tones in them, while the yellow belt brings out the yellows and crisp feel of the white dress. I always try to add a belt to a plain dresses like this one because they bring out the plain color in a good way, and accentuate the hips and waist.

Although this outfit is a little less bright than the last, it is still very spring. The floral pumps and rose earrings are very fresh, but are just not filled with colors that really pop. However, they are also very girly, which is why I added the jean jacket. It roughs up the look a little bit.

I love this outfit! The hat is so fun, it gives the outfit tons of individuality and style. Although, since the hat is a bit extravagant, I kept the rest of the outfit very sensible with lots of buckles and leather.

As you have seen, when given a white dress the possibilities are endless!
